Stopped by while in the area for a couple slices. We have been to John's down the street, but due to Faiccos being closed randomly we had to scramble and popped in here. We shared a slice of regular pepperoni and a slice of Sicilian cheese. Overall this was solid - the ordering process was a little bungled but they moved people along quickly. I wouldn't say it was one of the very best I have had in NYC, but still solid. Nice assortment of seating as well- both indoor and outdoor. We settled on the former as it was 95° out that day. Loud inside with plenty of people waiting in line and moving around.

Of all the pizza places in the city, I had never tried this spot before. When "Mammas too" wasn't ready to open by noon, I gave this place a try. I selected the Sicilian slice which needs to look right for me to go that route. It always takes a little extra time for those slices to heat up, but good things come to those who wait. I sat outside and watched the tourist walk by and gawk, and had some stop in and grab a slice. Oh...and free soda with my Yelp check-in made it extra special. Thanks!

Third visit and always get the Nonna Maria pizza. Consistent and tasty. AC was soooooo nice on a very hot day, but bathroom is not the cleanest

This place is so famous that my review might seem unnecessary, but in case you don't know, this is a legit NY SLICE spot. A true New York slice needs to be reheated so that the crust is crispy and the cheese is melty. If it's fresh out of the oven, ask for one that needs reheating to get the full experience. One reason it's better to get a slice rather than a whole pie is the reheating process. Check out this slice that is perfection. It probably came out of the oven 10 minutes ago, so it just needed a quick 1-minute reheat to achieve that perfect texture combination. There is more seating than you would expect in the air-conditioned back room. Enjoy this whenever you're in the Village, or even make a special trip for it. As someone who gets sick when they eat dairy, this is where I go when I need the real thing once a year or so.

We had the best pizza of our lives here. No pizza will ever compare and we live halfway across the country from this place. We visited twice while on our trip and we loved the Nonna Maria both times. The crust ...the flavors ....unbelievable! We had the pleasure of talking with Greg the second time and it made it a very special visit for us. I cannot recommend this place enough and is easy to get to from the subway.

This pizza is great! The only thing better than the pizza was meeting Greg and hearing his stories. Thank you!

Omg this pizza is fabulous! Initially, I thought it was overhyped but NO, it surpassed my expectations. I was out in the west village and stumbled into here (not drunk, obviously). Reggaeton music was bumping, place was packed, but the line was moving and we got our pizzas very quickly and efficiently. We ordered the cheese and nonna Maria slices. The nonna Maria was my favorite and 10/ 10 recommend. The slice was a typical NY thin slice, with perfect ratio of tomato and cheese. I want to go back ASAP to eat some more! Def recommend!

My favorite pizza place in New York! The restaurant is at the corner of Bleecker St. & 7th Ave. - not far from subway. There are indoor tables and some seating outside. I chose my pizza, paid & someone will call you when your order is ready. There are pictures of famous people on the wall. The pizza has a nice crispy crust. It had a dusting of cornmeal which I like because it made the pizza extra crunchy. The sauce was delicious and fresh! - Pepperoni pie: yum! They gave loads of pepperoni on top. Although the pepperoni was a bit spicy for my kid's liking, he finished the pizza! - Nonna Maria pizza: the combination of the sauce, cheese, mozzarella was perfection! The mozzarella tasted very fresh! One of the most delicious pizza I've ever had!
